REKK

<a href="spotify:artist:43ZBB122OT7Rsgsb5NjGhS" data-name="REKK">REKK</a>, once a five-piece band from the Ruhr valley in Germany, is now a loose collective built around Matti Kaiser, a multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, producer, and singer that collaborates with old acquaintances as well as new musicians. Together with guitarist and producer Moritz Bailly, they recorded the new album &#34;Well, the story is&#34; in pieces — solo in isolation, and together between Hamburg, Berlin, Waltrop, and the Ruhr valley.

Their songs start out as simple singer/songwriter numbers, but quickly draw the listener into an intense maelstrom. This is ensured not only by Kaiser&#39;s intimate lyrics, but by the organic interweaving of up-and-coming musicians from various genres of jazz and classical music, such as violist Gabriel Uhde, pianist Sophia Oster (<a href="spotify:artist:47MJrCS11WjpXnYBY9nZ5k" data-name="Sophia Oster Quintett">Sophia Oster Quintett</a>), drummer Dominic Harrison (<a href="spotify:artist:24ClzTB2w6pCt8qXhC0dKH" data-name="The Collective Abroad">The Collective Abroad</a>), guitarist <a href="spotify:artist:5S5ZfZnUAI0KG7NUdfdmdY" data-name="Filip Dinev">Filip Dinev</a>, trumpeter Philipp Püschel (<a href="spotify:artist:41cGTPqkZsmACGcw2kBPQ0" data-name="ROCKET MEN">ROCKET MEN</a>) and Pele Götzer (<a href="spotify:artist:6NvsLEBZa6myKK9CTkcQ1p" data-name="Astra Kid">Astra Kid</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:7uwAl3zF82Dp1skkps7AyR" data-name="Pele Caster">Pele Caster</a>).

&#34;Well, The Story Is&#34; is the second studio album by <a href="spotify:artist:43ZBB122OT7Rsgsb5NjGhS" data-name="REKK">REKK</a> and will be released by the Wuppertal-based indie label Stargazer.
