Nectar is an indie punk band founded by vocalist, songwriter, and guitarist Kamila Glowacki. Based in Champaign, IL and featuring musicians from the DIY/punk scene (Jake Mott/drums, Isabel Skidmore/bass, Ivan Catron/guitar, Aaron Shults/guitar, Sean Neumann/bass), Nectar mixes elements of powerpop melodies, grungy guitars, and earnest lyrics to deliver a "wonderfully infectious sense of breezy, distorted joy…where blissful harmonies meet pealing riffs and major-chord sweetness" (The A.V. Club).
Glowacki’s initial iterations of Nectar resulted in a self-titled cassette EP and split 7” released through Rat King Records. The band signed to Infinity Cat Recordings and released their debut album, <a href="spotify:album:5fLQdoFgzbkcoSiK7PStXK" data-name="Knocking at the Door">Knocking at the Door</a>, in 2018 with distribution in Japan via 2670 Records. Nectar’s second album, <a href="spotify:album:1sDkJ588MX9mUaMFdfFnni" data-name="No Shadow">No Shadow</a>, was released in 2022 via Lauren Records.
