Patient 0

Patient 0 is an alt/rock band based in Charlottesville, Virginia. 

Hannah Fowler and Tess Majors have been playing music together since 2014, though Patient 0 officially formed in early 2017 with the addition of Cooper Lowell on drums. Tess and Hannah spent their young teenage years listening to old punk music, which influenced the band's alt-rock sound. Their attitude and snarky lyricism add a touch of the riot-grrrl genre.


Patient 0 released their first single, "Short Term Fixes," in March of 2018. They released their first album, "Girl Problems," in September of 2019. This album was recorded in a local nonprofit, the Music Resource Center, during Hannah and Tess' senior year of high school and the following summer. Lucas Brown, from the band Breakers, helped mix and master the album, and James Gunter drummed for all the tracks except for "Jealousy," when Hannah Fowler and Tess Majors recorded the song alone, with Fowler on drums.


"Girl Problems" focuses on the trials and tribulations of coming of age while simultaneously tackling first relationships, identity issues, and mixed emotions about growing up.
