Hailing from somewhere between Boulder, CO and Ann Arbor, MI, Nelson Walker (they/them) makes music about in-between-ness.
Their latest album, "Do I Contradict Myself?" takes place at the intersection of folk rock and queercore punk. The album revels in multiplicity, flaunting Nelson's unwillingness to be categorized; showcasing their abilities as composer, lyricist, vocalist, guitarist, bassist, cellist, mandolinist, producer, and mix engineer; swinging joyfully between moments of spiritual introspection and horny queer angst. Yet, the album remains grounded and unified by the unwavering presences of truth, honesty, vulnerability, and heart.
Nelson believes the key to a happy life is a balance of gratitude, self-awareness and humility, unconditional compassion for all living things, acceptance of a constantly changing world, and homemade vegan ramen.
