Neptune's Core is an alternative rock band from Chicago. Composed of two sets of sisters, they bring their music to life with their heartfelt lyrics , complex melodies, and catchy rhythms. Their sound is a product of a love for all music, from rock to experimental, as well as their backgrounds in jazz and classical styles. The dynamic and raw sound they have created is honest, compelling, and all their own. The band has coined the term Lemon Rock to encapsulate the electric sound they create.
As Matt Keenan put it, "Lemon Rock as a genre unto itself, is right what you’d imagine from just hearing the name. It’s citrusy, bright, punchy, and just a little reckless."
Their newest release Pivot is about the transition from adolescence to adulthood and what it means to love others and to love yourself. The album marks a "pivot" for the band in terms of their sound and identity. Neptune's Core turns pain into power, never holding back.
