NETTLE

By bringing style, edge, and catchy songwriting back to punk rock music, NETTLE has made a name for itself in the local seaside music scene of Weston-Super-Mare. With their direct, agile sound, equally inspired by punk street-crushers: Black Flag, combined with the vicious attitude of New Yorkers, Ramones. NETTLE embellish on the back-to-basics, old school punk style whilst adding a modern flavour to the genre.

NETTLE’s roots go back to the start of 2024, when guitarist Marley Tozer, drummer Charlie Grice, and bassist Ymiah Winder started playing together in rehearsal sessions while they attended Weston College. At the time, the then unnamed band’s musical influences included The Sex Pistols, Minor Threat and Hüsker Dü.

To record their three-song single, NETTLE took the matter into their own hands to record, promote and distribute. NETTLE independently released the three-song single as Make My Day! In February 2024.

Their latest single, was released as I Hate The Number 7 Bus, after the shit-show-service that the First Group provides for us and the West of England. This was also produced by Marley Tozer and the rest of the band, and distributed independently too.
