L.A.'s youthful pop/rock band Neve formed in 1997 when John Stephens and Michael Raphael began playing together after stints in various local groups. Brian Burwell and Tommy Gruber, who had played with Stephens before, joined the fold and began playing gigs at high schools as well as more typical venues. A buzz developed around Neve, and the band soon signed a deal with Columbia Records. Their debut single "It's Over Now" appeared on the soundtrack to The Faculty, and another track, "Skyfall," was included in the Here on Earth soundtrack. Neve's self-titled full-length arrived in mid-2000. ~ Heather Phares, Rovi
