A product of New York City and the excitement and turbulence of the sixties, the New Swing Sextet made its professional debut performing in the Singer Bowl at the last New York Worlds Fair in 1965. The band has been a popular and innovative exponent of Latin jazz, salsa and pop music for over five decades. The band offers the classic Latin New York sound of another era, perfectly preserved and bottled for today’s global salsa enthusiasts. Recent performances to large audiences all over the North America, South America, Europe, Russia, Asia and the Middle East have proven that NSS is better than ever. “You couldn’t make up a better story,” said Giora Breil, the former CEO of Fania/Emusica, who released the Grammy nominated CD. “It falls in line with the history of salsa in New York. Historically, with this production, we are connecting the dots in a richly complex contribution of Latinos in the fabric of American music.”<br>
