Nicholas Mandalos is a British-Greek guitarist based in South London.

How I fear for you</a> was partly improvised in an intense and chaotic recording session spanning three days at the height of the sweltering Greek summer in August 2022 in Florina, the wild and mountainous far north west of Greece. It stands as a rumination on death, identity and place in an attempt to answer the question: "How much can we truly say without words?"
Initially conceived as a project with no definitive version, the finished album documents a fragmented journey through Greece both past and present.

I traversed by air, road and water to the lethal north west of Greece, to call out to my grandparents across the ages, over mountains and rivers first to Florina, and then onto Lake Prespa. This, the place where Byzantine monks once painted on cave walls in epic isolation, alone as time stood still in the immemorial land.
