Nico Efstratiou

Nico Efstratiou is leaving his imprint on the South African music scene. His most recent catalogue illustrates the afro-infused electronic sound he is becoming known for. Nico has been crowned the winner of the Hunters x Jacquel Culture House competition in Cape Town, being selected by Sun-El Musician to work with him.

In 2022, Nico returned to Dtuned Records with his single - Soma Páei, which playlisted on Apple Music’s ‘Afro House Nation’ and Amazon Music’s leading ‘Afro House’ playlist in Europe, Australia, and South America. The release was also supported by Dialekt Radio (Sultan +Sheperd) and 5FM’s in Das We Trust (Das Kapital).

‘I love storytelling, and that’s something I try bring across in every record I write’ - Nico’s is known for his ability to merge synthetic sounds, rhythmic layers and keep emotional song writing at the core of his work.

To top it off, Nico has been a resident of Stellenbosch’s iconic ‘Sunday School Sessions’ for the past 2 years and has just bridged into the UK scene performing at Moles – a venue known for hosting the likes of Carl Cox, Massive Attack and Peggy Gou to name a few.
