The virtuosity of the violinist Nikolay Madoyan has been striking classical music lovers since his young age. A musician of phenomenal aptitudes, Madoyan has been appearing throughout the world with leading orchestras and conductors.
Madoyan won the First Prize at the All-Russian Competition and later became the laureate and winner of the Special Jury Prize at the International K. Lipinski and H. Wieniawski Competition. At the invitation of the Lübeck Music Academy, Madoyan moved to study in Germany where he made a sensational debut at the Schleswig-Holstein Musiс Festival with the Mariinsky Theater Orchestra conducted by V. Gergiev.
Three years later, Madoyan received the Grand Prize at the International Kullenkampf Competition in Cologne, Germany. He also became a laureate of the Tokyo International Competition and received a Special Prize for Best Performer of the Japanese Work.
The press highly praised Madoyan's CD records released with Kontrapunkt and Cowbell. The Strad and Gramophone highlighted the releases of Prokofiev's and Grieg's Violin Sonatas as one of the best.
Among Madoyan's most recent extraordinary successes is an impressive performance of all six Paganini's Violin Concertos played by memory in one concert, first time in history. Additionally, Madoyan has paved his way into the Guinness World Records as 'Officially Amazing' for continuous performance of classical compositions lasting more than 33 hours.
