Nobuts: Dutch rock with a story
Nobuts is a rock band from the Netherlands that has been making music since 1990. The music is characterized by influences from many different artists like U2, De Dijk and Bob Dylan. Nobuts has played all over the Netherlands but also abroad in Europe (Denmark, Germany, France and Belgium).
Nobuts consists of Wytze Woudsma (drums), Wim de Wild (guitar), Haite van der Schaaf (keys and bass) and Nico Knibbe (vocals and guitar).
Nobuts began sining in English, but later Nobuts released nine Dutch-language CDs, always with good reviews and airplay. The songs are independent stories, but if you put them in a frame, a follow-up story is created. Those follow-up stories translated the band into four theater programs: 'In Via Sacra'', 'Hier ben ik' , 'Zonder wind zit alles tegen' and 'Maria, alleen als jij antwoordt' (our Christmas show).
Nobuts is still bursting with ideas, energy and above all passion for making music that makes a difference: making it matter.
