Node

The band was formed in 1994 by the guitarist Steve Minelli from Death SS. The first official release was the EP "Ask", published in 1995, featuring vocalist/guitarist Gary D’Eramo and Steve Minelli on lead guitar.

The line-up went through many changes through the years, except the time period between 2003 and 2009, Node's most successful era, playing many shows not only in Italy, but also in Europe (festival appereances and a tour with Lacuna Coil). This line-up generated "Das Kapital" album in 2004, which by many fans is considered Node's best effort, and "As God Kills" in 2006, which brought the band to more violent and "direct" sound approach.

In the following years Node released two albums with totally different line-ups (with only Gary D'Eramo remaining from the classic one): the groovy but controversial "In the end everything is a gag" (2010) and the more extreme "Cowards Empire" (2016).

In 2024 Node are back with their 7th Album “Canto VII”, released in april 2024 (Nadir Music), that features a lyrical concept about Dante’s Inferno 7th Chant analyzed in the context of today’s society. This is the first album featuring new vocalist Dave Arri and the first as a 4-piece band since 2006 As God Kills.

2024 also marks the 30° anniversary of the band, celebrated with the publishing of the band’s biography book “As Book Kills” by Massimo Villa (Arcana Edizioni, in italian language) and with special live shows.
