This CD was produced on and off between 1994 and 1999 by multi platinum Producer Bishop “stick” Burrell.
Stick was responsible for Luke Records artist H-Town‘s debut CD “Fever For The Flavor” and their sophomore CD “beggin after dark” which he produced in their entirety. It has been said that this collection of songs was slated to be H Town’s third CD release. After turmoil between the label and the group which led to the group leaving Luke Records, Stick’s services were not enlisted for the ladies edition CD that H Town would ultimately release in 1997. All the while Stick was busy working on the music and songs that comprise this CD with Rodney Gant and Volton Wright, two Louisiana college students he’d met through H Town drummer at the time, Ronald “Slack” Jefferson. He decided that he would form a trio featuring Gant and Wright on vocals with himself as the third member. During the five year period It took to make this CD, Stick, Rodney and Volton went through a lot of changes, situations, and a full gamut of emotions which led Stick in 2000 to release Sexology on his own imprint, Destiny records. What emerged from five years of writing and recording was a collection of songs rooted in Stick’s signature H-Town sound, with stories of life lessons, relationships, campus life, sex, love, and sorrow, which ultimately became a hard to find cult classic until now.
