Haitian American emcee, OBAS, has a story driven by the great need to survive, overcome and become a titan towards obstacles placed in his path. At the age of 3, his Mother would send him and his older siblings, from time to time, to spend summers in Haiti creating what would become the foundation of his survival tactics today. Of his time in Haiti, he says, "it's 100 degrees, tropical weather, guaranteed gunshots every night, dead bodies on the side streets, and a few nights with nothing to eat before bed. On the flip side it was cultural pride, great food, warm beach waters, and a sense of community where Big Mamas were respected just as much, if not more, than the gun busters. Being exposed to the two extremes of life in the US and Haiti created a gumbo of uniqueness, while breeding a titan mindset that changed the Danbury, Connecticut based Emcee.
Early exposure to some of the worse parts in life formed in innate toughness as well as a sense of empathy in OBAS
