Austin, Texas garage rockers OBN IIIs took cues from a rich legacy of boozy guitar slingers, looking particularly fondly on Jay Reatard's belligerent garage punk outfit the Reatards for inspiration in their firecracker sounds. The band was founded and fronted by namesake Orville Bateman Neeley III, vocalist of other like-minded bands such as Bad Sports and the Pumpers. OBN IIIs existed in the form of wanton live gigs and a few 7" singles before releasing debut album The One and Only in 2011. They followed it with a self-titled full-length in 2012, and in 2014 with Third Time to Harm. ~ Fred Thomas, Rovi
