In 1990, Philippe Saucourt and Bruno Fleutelot's first attempt as a band was a group called les Gens. The project split (too many different influences in the four-member group), and the pals created a new band for only the two of them: Orlando. But the collaboration showed its limits, thus the new project ended. From its ashes, however, rose the band Oboken, but this time the duo was on the same wavelength: exploring post-folk music. Philippe did his songwriting while Bruno worked on the deconstruction of what could have been plain folk songs. ~ Romain Guillou, Rovi
