This is one of the primal Spanish death metal bands of the late 80s and early 90s, the times when the graveyard-flavoured metal madness established its reing over an indomitable path through the underground.
Those were the times of bones and skulls, of guts, embrails and grave diseases. The times for dew and rust. For decay and consumption.
OBSCURE came to life back in 1989. A period of guttural roars and relentless percussion, where the scent of ancient tapestry lingered in the air. Their music, a relentless onslaught of riff-laden chaos, resonated in the underground catacombs,
echoing the spirit of a kingdom of death.
The epoch of sepulchral growls and cavernous guitar tones unfolded, reaching its apex in when the band decided to embark on an indefinite hiatus, leaving behind a legacy etched in the annals of death metal. A legacy that stood as a testament to the raw, unbridled power of old-school death metal, where every note was a visceral punch to the senses, and every riff a sonic descent into the abyss.
As the years passed, whispers of their unholy return circulated, promising a resurrection that would once again unleash the ancient, malevolent spirits of the genre.
