Smoldering for years in Norway’s underground, the members of Octohawk finally converged in 2020 and impressed the critics with their take on progressive, sludgy, melodic and crushing metal.

The debut album “Animist” was released in 2021 and strongly hailed by the press and listed on several “Album of the year” awards. Delivering heavy riffs with progressive runs and a crushing voice, combined with synthscapes and volatile drums, Octohawk can be soul wrenching, bone crushing and soothing.

But this is not a never-ending-riffs-and-long-notes, type of band - only more is more in Octohawk!

Comprised of members with bands like Mammüth, Ninth Circle, Cassidy and Dead Sheriff under the belt, there is now reason to doubt the diversity and determination Octohawk delivers!

With their feet planted in several genres there is no limitation to the creative work of Octohawk. Blending lead-heavy riffs and breakdowns with progressive passages and crescendos of grandeur, you can never predict what will hit your face in the next moment.

Members of Octohawk also has extensive experience in live performances, touring most of Norway’s venues and festivals. Even though Octohawk’s debut release was in the midst of the pandemic, the band has done several gigs, amongst them a performance at the renowned Inferno Metal Festival in Oslo.
