Oleyada

Oleyada is a Canadian artist of Uruguayan descent, crafting dreamy, lo-fi indie-pop from her bedroom studio. Her songs blend personal reflection with impressionistic imagery, lush vocal layers, and ‘80s-inspired synths. This distinct sonic palette has made her a standout in Canadian sync, with notable placements in CBCs 'Workin’ Moms', Netflix's 'Bet', and Amazon Prime’s The Lake.

Oleyada didn’t come from a musical family and never studied theory. She has always written instinctively, chasing sounds she felt before she could explain them. Over time, production became her language, one she now shares with her fiancé and creative partner, Mathew Fantini. His bass-driven sensibility and technical background complement her intuitive approach, turning their process into something more like a conversation than a collaboration.

In 2024, she released her debut EP Late Night Jam with support from FACTOR. The project earned recognition from Spotify, Apple Music, CBC, Billboard Canada, and college radio, and drew inspiration from the sophistication of Parisian jazz clubs and the vitality of Toronto’s live music scene. Now, Oleyada is leaning further into her instincts, embracing a rawer, more hands-on approach to production. Her upcoming singles strip back the polish in favor of grit and emotion.

As a female producer and storyteller, Oleyada is carving out space on her own term, with 2026 set to reveal an even more intimate, fully realized creative vision.
