Born and raised in Casablanca, Omar started his musical journey in the Moroccan underground venues. Arrived in France in 2010, he undoubtedly enriched his work with a mix of cultures and blended influences : Funky grooves with locals, Soukous with Cameroonians as well as Samba with Brazilians
A Few years later, through his machines, Omar decided to begin a new chapter in his musical adventure with a solo project. Between tradition and modernity, Omar EK looks for the ideal rhythmical and melodic balance, building an Arab and Afrofuturist universe blended to 80’s synths and Funky Grooves
