Aziz Konkrite is a French-Moroccan Dj, digger, beatmaker and event-producer for near 30 years now, it all began with music : Funk, Soul, Hip Hop, Boogie, and world music.. From Montpellier to Nottingham, Paris to Casablanca, Lille, Praha, Gent or Brighton. He continues to make it vibrate, this time through his well named Siba Sawt-System.
"Siba" symbolizes anarchy, "Sawt" means "sound" in Arabic, and "System" represents a world music sound system.
Aziz Konkrite blends protest music with his own influences and Moroccan heritage. His self-produced project, Siba Sawt System, takes shape in his home studio. Using hip-hop techniques and sampling old 7-inch records, he recreates melodies and adds percussive elements with hints of electronica, 80's funk, and hip-hop.
The result is a journey through Morocco's musical traditions with a futuristic twist. It's a unique and vibrant musical experience that invites understanding and dance, revealing its magic when heard.
