French metal group One Way Mirror were founded in 2005 when Guillaume Bideau (vocals), David Potvin (guitar), Franck Potvin (guitar), Dirk Verbeuren (drums), and Loic Colin (bass) decided to combine their efforts. All of the men were involved in other bands -- Bideau was a member of Mnemic, Verbeuren played with Soilwork, Colin was involved in both Scarve and Watcha, and David and Franck Potvin were members of Lyzanxia and Phaze 1, respectively -- and after sharing the stage and collaborating on a number of projects, the five started a group of their own. Gathering in the studio to hone their sound, the bandmembers soon began recording the tracks that would make up their debut release. The album, which was produced by Bideau and David Potvin, was mixed and mastered by Tue Madsen and finished in October 2007. One Way Mirror then signed with Metal Blade Records and released their self-titled debut the following year. ~ Katherine Fulton, Rovi
