Onk Lou sounds as if Joe Cocker and John Mayer had made "sweet love" and created the "pizza fritta" of the
Austrian Music scene in the process. Lukas Weiser formed his first band at the age of 11, created his alias "Onk
Lou" at the age of 18, and has now been touring Europe for 14 years under that alias.
With a vocal range shifting from Tom Waits to Bon Iver in a heartbeat and 500 shows under his belt before even
signing his first record deal, Onk Lou's voice has already left its marks in the Austrian musical landscape. With "In
the Morning" (2017) he had his first summer hit on Austrian radio stations, and his song "Like 16" (2020) stayed
at Number 1 for 16 consecutive weeks on the Ö3-Austrocharts.
When the world closed down in 2020 and stages were unconquerable, Onk Lou created his own, riding his bike
all over Austria to play corona-safe garden concerts for his fans, bringing the thrill of live music right to their
homes. "Everything for rock'n'roll!"
When the world opened up again, Onk Lou headed right back to European
stages, gigging between Hamburg and Paris with acts such as Birdy and Kula Shaker.
Always trying to stay true to his roots, Onk Lou is now taking that same DIY spirit that led 11-year-old Lukas to
form his first band to the next level. At the beginning of 2024 he started his own record label (MoreThanBones Records) and set to work with
his brother, producer Constantin Weiser, in their own studio.
