ONOSKELIS started in the winter of 1996 by Ruth Belliarth, and is possibly the first dungeon synth record made by a woman worldwide and perhaps the first one in the genre made in Brazil. The first lady of dungeon synth, is originally from Brasília in DF, and a pioneer in the atmospheric and dark sound reign infused with pagan and Mesopotamian themes. In 1997, the project's first release came out, a demo tape entitled “The Golden Temple of Onoskelis”. Operating between the realms of dungeon synth and dark ambient, the tape has become a precursos and cult relic, full of personality and nuances. In the same year she released another cassete, a promo entitled “The Hecate Prophecies in your Cold Throne” with songs and embryonic ideas of what she imagined for her first album.
The renaissance began with several re-releases of the 1997 materials, now completely revered in the black metal and dungeon synth world. Afterwards, the Countess began the recording process for her long-awaited first album. A work that carries everything that permeates her universe, from her early years as a teenager to the present wisdom of a woman who has already fought many battles. With Gregoree Jr.'s production, what was once registered in a rudimentary form, has now been translated with all due splendor. No longer restricted to the dungeon synth niche, the work, titled “Before Ishtar’s Portal” brings cinematic elements and influences from neoclassical music.
