Chris "Optiks" Jones is a Brooklyn-based producer and engineer who has made a name for himself through his conceptual production and partnership with equally strong and unique artists. He began producing music for friends in high school in Cincinnati, OH, before leaving for Kent State University and producing for fellow classmate Blitz the Ambassador. Optiks' production for Blitz supported his debut album "Stereotype" which was as a Top 10 record on iTunes Hip Hop charts in 2009. Optiks' thunderous production has since led to features by artists including Talib Kweli, Styles P, Rittz, Freeway, Tech N9ne, Jon Connor, Joey Cool, Heltah Skeltah, Homeboy Sandman, and Aesop Rock amongst others.
