A party conversation about music in 2014 developed into a deep friendship and the Orbital Drum System. Back then the duo - consisting of Cologne based producer OHYEAH and DJ CHIVER from Dortmund - organized their own party series and had established solo projects. At the end of 2019 they decided to focus on DJing and producing under the ODS moniker.
Quickly they developed their own sound which is strongly influenced by (Italo) Disco, (French) House and a pinch of Techno, Acid & Trance. The first tracks and remixes for artists from Belgium to Italy quickly followed. In 2020 they released their first EP on the Canadian label BADLQQK, which is inspired by electronic music from their childhood - the 90s. As a remixer for the B-side „Less Talkin’“ they were able to win none other than Larse.
A few releases on labels like Waze’s Streettracks from UK, the super hot and coming Spanish Miura Records and Good Luck’s very own WITHINAGRAVE from Australia followed.
Not much time passed and the two friends got their first club residency at Dortmund's finest venue for House music, Oma Doris. Since then, they have been regularly hitting the turntables at the "Discoland" party series and a few other formats and shared the decks with the likes of Flo MRZDK and Phil Fuldner. Today, they are also members of the "Diskologne" collective, with whom they regularly mix up the nightlife in Cologne.
