Order of Nine is a third-millennium heavy metal band from Pittsburgh, PA, whose music harks back to the many overlooked proto-power metal bands -- e.g. Jag Panzer, Helstar, Omen, early Queensrÿche, etc. -- that ‘80s thrash and pop metal pushed to the back pages and minor feature sections of Hit Parader magazine. Founded in 2001 by vocalist and only constant member Michael DeGrena, the band proceeded to trail a curiously similar path of semi-obscurity while releasing three full albums: 2002's Of Once and Future Kings , 2003's Season of Reign, and 2008's A Means to Know End. Nevertheless, Order of Nine soldiers on, and their current lineup counts with former Icarus Witch guitarist Steve Pollick, guitarist/keyboardist Scott Haggerty, bassist Mark Howard, and drummer J.R. Jameson. ~ Eduardo Rivadavia, Rovi
