Since their inception in 2018, Oscar the Wild have left a lasting impression on every room they have played. The band, born out of school music ensembles and propped up by life long family friendships, have left their mark with their unique brand of indie rock, punk and pop.
Their live show has proven them, time and time again, as a force to be reckoned with, and has seen them opening up for the likes of Bloc Party, The Beths, Grinspoon, Pale Waves and many more, as well as play festivals such as BIGSOUND, Mountain Goat Valley Crawl, Vintage Vibes & Harvest Rock. They have shown that they can create environments where people feel they belong, doing this through their laid back and personable approach and the deep feeling of connection explored in their lyrics. You can tell the band are close, and they just want to pull you in.
They've spent the last year, after the release of their debut EP, experimenting with different sounds and lyrical themes, which has culminated in a new body of work which portrays growth and their reluctance to being pigeonholed. It's hard to put Oscar the Wild in a box. Instead, they have the tools to build their own.
