Osis is a new Boston-based OC/DC punkcore band, fusing classic riffs with contemporary rage and a touch of playful irreverence.
Reviews:
"...Bless Osis for bringing everyone's feminist fury together into one relieving, liberating musical moment of release by facing the patriarchy head-on."
-Zillions Magazine
"...Osis, the Boston four-piece present themselves as a formidable and explosive punk rock outfit....Osis seem to take their influences from genuine old school, European punk sources, rather than the sanitized, latter-day commercial (spit), American pop-punk ... The result is a pleasingly chaotic sub-ninety-second blast of snarling guitars and narky vocals. A cool debut - great for newbie punk fans, but equally should find appreciation from the die-hard purists."
-Skreen B Blog
“All the songs are hard hitting. There were times ...where the guitar had a post punk Gang of Four like sound and we really liked that. The singer Katie Ghoulish has a very strong voice and gets up some nice screaming...”
-Boston Groupie News
“... calls to mind many of the more left-field and eccentric acts of both the early D.C. postcore era with bands like Gray Matter, Government Issue, Embrace, Rites of Spring, Fire Party and just as many west coast acts like Really Red, Tragic Mulatto, early Saccharine Trust, balanced out with some lighter, straightforward rocking and energetic moments that evoke a bit of a classic Germs and Adoloscents energy.”
