Overdrawn was formed in 2019 by a group of friends from the University of Malta. Ever since then they found their space, found their sound, and carved their way into the local music scene.

Overdrawn's lineup consists of Duncan Borg (drums), Nigel Cuschieri (vocals & guitar), Daniel Cassar (lead guitar), and Matthew Grech (bassist).

Overdrawn is an Indie Rock band inspired by well-known rock groups such as the Foo Fighters, Queens of the Stone Age, Audioslave, Weezer, and Blur. They have a very energetic yet dynamic sound, which is a result of their diverse musical backgrounds.

In 2023, Overdrawn released two new singles, 'Jumpstart My Heart' and 'The Way Things Used to Go'.
Jumpstart My Heart is a song that borders on alternative rock, with a message which viscerally describes love at first sight and the feeling entwined within it. It's compared to being brought back to life again using a defibrillator, and the eye in shock depicted on the single cover hints at this moment.

The Way Things Used to Go is a song that balances classic and modern rock, with a catchy guitar lick that hooks the listener in right away and a rhythmic musical line that is reminiscent of the 90s. The song is about a person who is reminiscing about the past, and how things used to be. A reviewer described the song as a "cool indie track with Red Hot Chili Peppers vibes".
