Owen Duff works across a variety of musical and artistic fields. As a singer-songwriter he blends influences from chamber pop, folk, electronica, film scores and jazz, with lyrics inspired by books, films, TV, philosophy, politics and personal experience.
Playing or programming nearly all of the instruments on his songs, Owen also creates the visuals that accompany them, from artwork to music videos.
He has recorded five EPs and five albums. His last album release was the ambitious concept album 'bed', which tells a story of queer love and loss and explores the idea of beds as places of refuge, vulnerability, sickness, recuperation, procreation, intimacy, birth and death.
Owen scored the Queerty Award-nominated web series 'Kissing Walls' in 2019 and has written music and songs for various other independent films.
As a creator of experimental music and sound, Owen was Highly Commended at the Sound of the Year Awards in 2023. His sound art collaboration with Faber poet Emily Berry, 'Ghost Dance' was a featured premiere on BBC's Late Junction in 2024.
Owen has performed in iconic UK venues including Bush Hall, the Royal Vauxhall Tavern and Wigmore Hall, as well as supporting acts such as the Hidden Cameras, Scott Matthew and The Unbending Trees.
