Pablo and The Appleheads

The Beatles have acted as the pinnacle of musical inspiration for hundreds, if not thousands of artists over the years, but Barcelona based pop-rock band, Pablo and The Appleheads, dig deep into the music of the iconic ‘Fab Four’ to create their vintage-esque style and sound.

However, whilst Pablo and The Appleheads provide listeners with a shiver of ‘Beatles’ nostalgia, their music is mixed in with modern production, akin to the likes of Oasis or Radiohead. This genius plan was cooked up by Barcelona's very own singer/songwriter Pablo Villavecchia in 2014 with the debut album ‘Stars and Dots’; a record encapsulating an introspection of light and darkness.

At 22, Pablo recorded his first set of demos which were quickly picked up, receiving attention from a major record label, but at the time it was not right to go ahead with the deal in pursuit of focusing on his songwriting without the restrictions of the industry.

After a few more years performing at venues including Luz de Gas, City Hall, Voll Damm Festival, Canet Rock Festival and some wonderful write-ups from Timeout Magazine, La Vanguardia or Addison De Witt, Pablo took some time to write the upcoming second album that displays a truer reflection of him as a songwriter.

Inspired by love and finding "the record producer of our dreams" Pablo and The Appleheads are back with their new album ‘Alessandra’ which the band is labeling as “The Revolution of Love”.
