Pagi Tadi is an independent-music band from Malang-East Java that delivers ecological messages to all its hearers.
The lyrics of its album are excerpts from vocalist poem books entitled GERIMIS and MENGABADIKAN BISIK WAKTU. All the lyrics and arrangements were created in Mount Semeru and Kondang Merak beach in the south of Malang. Proceeds of its album and gigs are partly donated to conservation in Mount Semeru and Kondang Merak fishing villages. The donation portrays their gratitude to Mount Semeru and Kondang Merak fishing villages for being a great place to create all its songs.
The first album of Pagi Tadi entitled “Kembara” was launched at the end of 2015.In 2018, the second album entitled “Taize” was launched.In 2020, the third album entitled "FRAGMEN" was done.
Pagi Tadi routinely holds events named “Songs from The Trees”, “Forests Music Camp” and also “Air Bicara”. “Songs from The Trees” is a clean-up event, mini concert, and discussion about conservation that had started in Ranu Regulo in the slope of Mount Semeru with its community and mountaineers. The fourth “Songs from The Trees” was done in Ranu Kumbolo, Mount Semeru.“Air Bicara” is a similar project but it is done in beaches and fishing villages.
We just hope that through our music and our little projects, we can give something for our environment and can help to create better environmental movement.
