Dadang Pranoto started his career as a musician by forming a grunge band called <a href="spotify:artist:1iyCgLwjC23mOjuDxY9sLu" data-name="Navicula">Navicula</a> in 1996 when he met his vocalist, Robi Supriyanto, in High School. Since then, Dadang has shown determination to pursue the music world. In 2008, he re-explored his career in the music scene by forming a band with a much different genre, <a href="spotify:artist:4gJg421y4bUEvBAMwND149" data-name="Dialog Dini Hari">Dialog Dini Hari</a>. At that time, Navicula's name was already prominent in the Indonesian music scene. Dialog Dini Hari seems to appear as the alter ego of Dadang in which he expresses himself as vocalist and guitarist. In 2022, Navicula already counts 11 albums, followed by Dialog Dini Hari with five albums.
Along the way of his career, he has also been consistent in solo work under Pohon Tua, with a first solo album in 2016 entitled "Kubu Carik". Dadang seemed to honestly tell all the feelings he experienced without compromising. 2022 comes as a celebration of his 25 years in the music industry and will be marked with another solo project entitled "Legam", which he produced with the help of 15 musicians.
