Michael Santostefano & Jamies Morrison met in The UK in 2009 when Santostefano's New Jersey group <a href="spotify:artist:287nLBOsTj3wZCVRMcQyg6" data-name="Static Radio NJ">Static Radio NJ</a> toured with Swansea's <a href="spotify:artist:0UCLDpdTxBdTh8Bmpn05Ty" data-name="The Arteries">The Arteries</a>.
A strong friendship was formed between the two, both saw eye to eye with musical influence and each had a desire to something new.
In early 2013 Jamie visited Michael South Amboy, NJ. Together they wrote ideas for what would become their debut LP, <a href="spotify:album:73u4oDslcOiyRWH5YKSUJY" data-name="Primal Play">Primal Play</a>. Michael Yannich of New Jersey group, <a href="spotify:artist:0DWMLvlNTK198Lq3wUwkVN" data-name="The Ergs!">The Ergs!</a> agreed to play drums and the trio journeyed to Brooklyn, NY for 2 days in the studio with Ben Greenberg (<a href="spotify:artist:30XB6UJMhn7v7ZDX2GlIsM" data-name="The Men">The Men</a> <a href="spotify:artist:3TaLdYu9rA6H364ROYMmvF" data-name="Uniform">Uniform</a>) recording and engineering,
All of the music was tracked live and recorded on the 1st day. The 2nd was spent mixing and the album was complete.
Since the release of <a href="spotify:album:73u4oDslcOiyRWH5YKSUJY" data-name="Primal Play">Primal Play</a> Pale Angels have released and recorded several more albums, each accompanied by a slew of varied but equally brilliant drummers.
