Paradigma

Paradigma can be described as a Norwegian alternative doom metal band. Formed in 1992. At the time, Paradigma’s multivoiced doom/death blend proved a fresh breath of putrefaction. This contrastful expression of beaty and aggressive attracted a mixed following, ranging from black metallers to any kind of people. The band always felt music is universal, and is best not limited to genre. The demo tape ‘As Autumn Dies’ was recorded in 1993, followed by the CD Mare Veris in 1995 and the MCD Skadi in 1996. The band never went on tour, but still managed to play more than 50 gigs in total.
Einar Fredriksen (Funeral) joined Paradigma in 1997 and was a valuable part of the band until he tragically committed suicide 10th January 2003. This turn of events caused the band to cease activity for some time. The album “The Beckoning of Lost Light” was postponed indefinitely, the remaining members focusing on other bands. However, one cannot escape one’s destiny. In between other band activities, new material was being created. Even after so many years of absence, Paradigma stands out as too miserable to succumb to oblivion. There will be future releases.

The Beckoning of Lost Light is being revamped, containing the original recordings. Some new instruments and vocals added, yet the vision of the original remains.
