Formed in 2001 and based out of Saitama, Pasteboard was the Japanese Shoegaze project of <a href="spotify:artist:7u557lrQpplH2ZIXdCuxJM" data-name="Roly Poly Rag Bear">Roly Poly Rag Bear</a> members Mihoko Tanoue and Makoto Igarashi. Inspired by bands such as <a href="spotify:artist:2Sp19cOHSqAUlE64hekARW" data-name="Teenage Fanclub">Teenage Fanclub</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:4g59G9OEAMkD8pd8oiEqx0" data-name="Supercar">Supercar</a>, they released their long awaited debut <a href="spotify:album:3HvASlOR1hZ7IFnvFECDBS" data-name="Glitter">Glitter</a> in December 2005 via the Nagoya based label &#34;abcdefg* record&#34;.

Despite plans to release a sophmore album, the band only went on to release a handful of standalone singles throughout 2006-2010 including a collaborative song with Neo-Shibuya Kei band <a href="spotify:artist:5U8AcKc872LE2jdiECBWH5" data-name="Naivepop Or Petitfool">Naivepop Or Petitfool</a>. The duo went on an indefinite hiatus from both projects in late 2010.
