Hailing from Helsinki, Pastis blends decades of guitar-driven indie rock influences into a stylish and distinctive sound. Their shimmering, melodic style draws from the pop gems of the '60s and '70s, the Britpop of the '90s, and modern international indie flavors. With tracks that have even been played on BBC Radio 6, the band builds their music on infectious melodies, rich vocal harmonies, and choruses made for singing along.
Pastis gained early momentum when YleX and Soundi took notice of their debut EP Four Stories (2018), recorded in Dublin, Ireland. Not long after, they signed with Stupido Records. In summer 2025, the band continues working with indie producer Lauri Eloranta, whose award-winning production has played a key role in shaping their earlier albums Circles (2019) and Pastis (2023). A taste of their latest collaboration will arrive in April, when the band releases a double single, Sunday, Sunday / Into the Wild—a bold move in today’s streaming-focused era.
