PAUL KASS AKA LIJ AMLAK is determined to carry on the culture of Reggae music and its legacy, in spreading the message of love, unity, and education, to the massive across the globe. With his unmistakable talent, zeal, and a high level of consciousness, the young Rastafarian, is already making his mark and his presence felt on the world stage.
Under the initial stage name of Lij Amlak, he made his first recording in 1995 for Courtney Cole’s Roof International label, with a song titled ‘See the Trouble’. The single received moderate airplay. That was followed up with a number of other recordings for various labels, with the likes of Millennium Records from Canada, Flames Records, the family owned Mama Africa label, among others.
To Paul’s credit are the singles ‘Want All’, ‘Susu’, ‘Love Is What We Need’, ‘Relief’, ‘Simon’, ‘Jah Glory’, ‘Hottaball’, and the song ‘Missing You’. He has also released two combinations with brother Omar Silk, titled ‘Love Alone’, and ‘Judges’. The conscious singer, who is also quite flexed as a DJ, has performed on a number of local and overseas
events. On the local front, he has graced the stage of world- class events like Reggae Sumfest, Rebel Salute, and the popular Teen splash, while taking his talent overseas to places like New York, Miami, Philadelphia, Turks & Caicos, as well as a tour of Bermuda with some of Jamaica’s great musical legends.
