Payton Williams, a Country/Folk artist from Birmingham, Alabama grew up singing in church, got his first guitar at age thirteen and never put it down. During his college years at UAB in Birmingham, he honed his songwriting skills while playing guitar and bass in multiple bands before venturing out on a solo career. His musical style can be described as a sound where country and folk come together, creating sonic landscapes and timeless stories.
Payton’s songwriting influence came from growing up listening to legends like Waylon Jennings, Bob Dylan and The Grateful Dead. Payton Williams plays live shows multiple times weekly as a solo performer. He also tours regularly with his four piece band; The Payton Williams Band.
