Born in the US, raised in Turkey, American-Turkish singer/songwriter and classically trained violinist Isil Yucel Ozsut, a.k.a “Pearl Kite” has started her music adventure when she was 5, singing in a Children Choir. At age 10, after an exclusive audition, she was selected in a conservatory in Europe with a full scholarship where she got on with her classical music education as a violinist.
In 2009, she went to Boston to study Jazz. After graduating from Berklee College of Music, she moved to LA and started collaborating with composers as a recording artist. She performed in many Commercials, Films and TV shows as a session singer and violinist.
She eventually decided to focus on her own songs and pursue her dreams. She has spent the past few years writing and recording while finding her musical voice. In September 2020 she released her debut song “I Am What I Am” and since then she has been on a journey of creating her original sound.
Bringing a fresh vision to the electronic scene, her unique approach is pushing boundaries and connecting genres together seamlessly. Apart from the music production charm, she also loves to use acoustic instruments in a special way within her songs. She loves to capture the moment when working on new tunes with absolutely no rules on the kind of stuff she is writing. Her evocative blend of classical, jazz, pop and electronic music gives her an edge, being unpredictable in a creative way.
