Cava Grande is the solo project of Tan Tunçağ, formerly one half of the influential indie-electronica duo Portecho. Drawing on a deep love for analog synthesis, melancholic melodies, and layered vocals, Cava Grande weaves a sound that lives between indie dance, synth-pop, and cinematic electro.
Since its debut with Worm Universe in 2018, the project has gained attention for both its sound and visuals—music videos often crafted using game engines or AI, reflecting Tan’s background as a professional video game designer and 3D animator. His second full-length album Hollow Shell pushed the emotional and atmospheric side of his work further, earning acclaim for its introspective tone and dark, textured soundscapes.
Cava Grande’s third studio album is currently in production, marking a new chapter with a sonic palette that blends dreamy 80s nostalgia with modern synth-pop energy—but with a more upbeat and driving feel.
