Pedro Henrique Valladão, born in 1998, is a talented Brazilian composer who graduated from the São Paulo State Music School (EMESP) and Royal Holloway University of London. He began studying piano in Brazil with Leila Mutanem and Marina Brandão, later advancing to composition with Rodrigo Lima and harpsichord under Alessandro Santoro. Valladão has been composing since the age of 13 and has contributed soundtracks to numerous short films, including standout collaborations with Brazilian director Vinícius de Hollanda and Chinese director Xion-Lii.
His compositional journey began with simple piano melodies, as heard in his debut release, *Under Streetlight* (2019). Over time, his work evolved into full orchestral arrangements, characterized by a playful yet elegant style with a fantastical, magical quality. His music stands out for its refined counterpoint and fluid, thoughtful melodies that demonstrate both technical skill and emotional depth.
In 2024, Valladão's symphonic poem *Hannibal & his Elephants Crossing the Alps* premiered with the Orchestra de Santo Amaro (OFISA) in São Paulo, conducted by Silvia Luisada. He is currently working on new compositions for both live performance and the film industry.
