Producer, DJ and songwriter Pellegrino is the founder and driving force behind the band Pellegrino & Zodyaco, one of the projects that helped define the recent revival of Neapolitan funk and a new Mediterranean sound emerging from Naples, a musical language he calls “Napoliterranean”. In 2026, he expanded this artistic path with Pellegrino pres. Dance Rituals, his new hybrid electronic project.

Dance Rituals brings this melodic, organic and Mediterranean sensibility into a more direct club environment. Built with the continuous logic of a DJ set, it combines drum machines, synths, percussion and voices in a fluid performance where music is played, reshaped and transformed in real time. The stage becomes an extension of the dancefloor, with bodies and machines serving the same collective pulse. Following Dancefleur Dream, the single Napoletana bridges Pellegrino’s Neapolitan roots and this new club-oriented language.

Pellegrino is also the founder of Early Sounds Recordings, a label that has helped document and shape Naples’ contemporary musical scene. Its catalogue includes debut releases by Lapa Dula, Nu Genea, Ed Longo, Mystic Jungle and Bassolino, alongside the Napoli Segreta and IES – Italian Erotic Sounds compilations. Across his work as an artist, producer and label curator, Pellegrino moves between funk, disco, Italo, house, jazz and Neapolitan songwriting, balancing organic warmth, melodic detail and dancefloor energy.
