A funnyman whose clean-cut exterior belies his sometimes rude approach, Pete Holmes got his start on the Los Angeles standup circuit before becoming a regular on television panel series like VH1's Best Week Ever and Comedy Central's Premium Blend. He also wrote and voiced the character of the E*Trade baby on a series of successful television commercials, then in 2011 he made his comedy album debut with Impregnated with Wonder. His TBS series The Pete Holmes Show premiered in 2012 and was followed in 2013 by Nice Try, the Devil, his first album for the Comedy Central label. In 2014, The Pete Holmes Show was canceled, but the comic stayed busy, writing for the TV series Outsourced and I Hate My Teenage Daughter, contributing cartoons to The New Yorker, and touring as a standup. In 2016, Holmes taped a special for HBO, Faces & Sounds, which in 2017 was released as an album by Comedy Dynamics. ~ David Jeffries, Rovi
