Argentinean contemporary folk musician Peteco Carabajal was mostly influenced by his father who used to play in a group called Santiago Manta after his family moved to Buenos Aires, having his first hit, El Mimoso, in 1971. Peteco Carabajal started singing at the age of 17, forming a threesome named Santiago Trio with his cousin Roberto and Shalo Leguizamon. Local artist Hugo Díaz got them a deal, recording for the first time along with Agustín Gómez and percussionist <a href="spotify:artist:0PyBsZlcv8KxT5BsBFnmwG">Domingo Cura</a>. In the mid-'70s, Shalo Leguizamon joined Los Huanca Hua, on the other side, cousins Roberto and Peteco decided to be part of Los Carabajal. In 1985, Peteco Carabajal created a new project called M.P.A., recording Nadie Mas Que Nadie that same year.
