Peter Elmberg is a multidimensional artist writing music that vary in style, genre and language with a strong engagement in the peace and social justice movement.
He spent over three years travelling, studying, writing music and meeting with indigenious cultures of the world before he moved to the countryside of Sweden for a year of solitude and searching his roots. This resulted in co-creating and the running of Mundekulla Retreatcenter (1998-2022) where he created many hundreds of events and cross cultural dialogues.
”Nordic Light Artists” involves artists from all over the world with songs like ”A song for Tibet” (to raise awarness on a peaceful solution for Tibet), ”Now is the time” (Swedens answer to ”We are the world” voted the best Swedish song, 2007) "Honouring our Mother Earth” (released and presented on a UN conference on world environment day 2020) consisting of 100 voices from 25 countries as well as his popular and much appreciated "Mindfulness Songs” inspired by the Buddhist monk Thich Nhat Hanh.
Other projects consists of ”12 peace prayers” with prayers from different traditions, ”Mundekulla Peace dances” with a universal message that has touched the heart of the many and African Vibration” based on songs written on his travels in West Africa.
He also writes music in his native language, Swedish including 2 musicals as well as songs due to the passing of his brother, mother and father.
