In a unique style combining alt-rock, classic rock and bossa nova influences, Peter Galperin writes and performs songs about the people, places, and things that he loves. With equal parts humor, skepticism, and honesty, he admits to what he doesn't understand, and questions what he already knows. According to Robert Steven Silverstein at Music Web Express 3000 (mwe3.com) Peter is “the spirit of Paul Simon at his most folk-rockingest”, and ventsmagazine.com hails Galperin as "...uplifting, thought provoking... and overly eccentric (in a good way)."

A Seattle native and grunge rock refugee, Peter studied violin and piano with his classically-trained parents, and was active in the burgeoning Seattle rock scene during college. As a vocalist and multi-instrumentalist (guitar, violin, piano, mandolin, bass), Peter has recorded in New York and Nashville, and has composed music for a variety of dance performances and independent film soundtracks.

In addition to five critically-acclaimed CD releases, Peter has written and composed "BULLDOZER", a rock musical about the life and times of urban planner Robert Moses that had it's New York off-Broadway debut in November 2017 (original cast album released in 2019 now available on Spotify). Peter's latest project "HIGHER GROUND: THE MUSICAL" is a futurist tale of hope and trust set against the backdrop of climate change. It is currently available as a comic book with a music soundtrack, but he hopes to see it on a stage soon.
