Phase Transition is a progressive metal band formed in 2018, in Porto, Portugal, with Sofia Beco, on violin and vocals, Luís Dias on the guitar, and Fernando Maia on the drums. The band combines influences ranging from classical music to technical progressive metal, as a result of the different backgrounds of the members.
They premiered live at Hard Club Porto at FMUP Music Fest 2019, playing new versions of iconic metal pieces.
In December 2020, the band released their debut EP “Relatively Speaking”, which is the culmination of one year of work. The EP was recorded, produced, mixed and mastered by Afonso Aguiar at Titanforged Productions.
